Since Glendon is moving back to Vegas this week, I thought I’d post some pics from right before he left Vegas. These are on New Years Eve 2008 with our friends Nate and Kristal, about a week before he was KC Bound and we were just finishing up Vegas Bound.  The next week will be a whirlwind of travels, but very exciting! My recent trip to the beauty parlor almost ended up dark for the fall. It didn’t happen, but I am certainly getting the itch.  Reminiscing, here’s a brunette pic of me and Lisa at the R&R Xmas Party in 2007. Fun gals!

GPOYW - Denvertastic!

This week’s edition is spurred by recent reminiscing on my #SecretVacation to Denver in December 2009 with The Glendon. The vacation location was only revealed 48 hours ahead of flight time!

We ate and drank lots in typical vacation fashion, including brunches at Duo Denver and Snooze Eatery, dinners at Osteria Marco and Beatrice & Woodsley, plus hit some cool dives and lounges.  We also snuck up to Boulder and Lyons to stay at Shelly’s Cottages equipped with only a hot tub, cabin fever, and dirty Scrabble to entertain us for 24 hours.  I won naturally.

Apparently we went on the coldest days in history, so we didn’t walk around a lot. I would be interested in checking out Denver again in a warmer month, very open to suggestions! :)

Helpful Hint: Vegas girls are meant for warm weather. Their blood freezes when drops under 70 and its embarrassing to watch them struggle with a winter coat.

Birthday weekend with Glendon was spent at Encore Las Vegas with dinner, Garth, and this delightfully lit up peacock! I like sparkly things…. what can I say, I’m from Vegas.

Since my birthday is on Friday, I thought I’d share pics from 2009’s birthday, AKA Pitchfork Birthday Weekend. Such fun in Chicago, good times, fun music, great eats, nice company… altogether awesome weekend. Shenanigans are definitely in store for 2010 Las Vegas birthday too!

GPOYW - Math-tastic!

This week I haven’t been able to nail a single math equation, it’s like math is no longer an option for my brain. So, this is a picture circa 2005 of my friend Emily & I in Scottsdale trying really hard, unsuccessfully from the looks of it, to calculate how long it had been since we’d seen each other.
